I came here today for lunch with my parents. I am from Chicago so I am used to a hurried, more rushed dining experience so I'm not sure if it was just the relaxed atmosphere of the town or if our server was just slow. Either way, all our lunches were delicious - I loved their homemade chips and sitting on the patio was a nice touch!

It was a first time in Mount Dora. Luckily we had the benefit of family having moved locally recently and already had a good vibe on what was good and what to avoid. This place had a strong word of mouth and their thumbs up so Merill's it was for lunch today. The menus were how I would like, some eclectic fun options and some traditional options for the meek. We settled on a few flatbreads and a few burgers, nothing to exotic. The winner was the straight forward caprese flatbread. Just like it sounds, but better. We had a couple beers recommended, double heart was excellent. For wines, the apothic was the best at the table. Yes over priced, but that comes with the neighborhood. Considering the ambiance and quality of cuisine, I would say it's tough to beat in Mount Dora

I had not been to Mt Dora for over 15 years and decided to poke around that neat little town this afternoon. I checked the reviews here on Yelp and decided on Merrill's I was interested in a deli style sandwich and ordered the pastrami on rye. It was just ok, not stacked high, not that flavorful, and the pastrami was tough. The side that came with it was a pile of toasted pita chips or maybe it was flour tortilla, either way not much flavor there as well. Service was super and the atmosphere was nice. The food? Yawn. Sorry, I really wanted the meal to compliment a sunny spring day in Mt Dora.

Just had the Smokehouse Bacon Burger and it was seasoned PERFECTLY!!! Very good experience.

Pros: good food and large place. Great place to hang out Cons: none Notable Mention: customer service was stellar, talked with one of the owners who was very gracious to make me a combo platter of various cheeses

Horrible. No other other word describes the experience I had here more. What a disaster! From the moment we walked in until the moment we left it was a cluster. Started off waiting over 10 minutes for service after we were given menus. I had to go to the bar and to order drinks and food because nobody came. Then we waited about 45 minutes for 2 meals to come from the kitchen, and in that 45 minutes we never had anyone come to the table to check on us or give refills. When food came out it was cold. While waiting for it there were numerous curse words coming from the kitchen. There were lots of kids in the restaurant, very inappropriate! Still nobody came to our table while eating or after. To pay the check I once again had to go to the bar to get somebody to help me. The reviews I read before going here couldn't be further from the truth. The only time ANYONE from the restaurant came to our table was to drop the food off, that was the only time. We sat inside too, not like we were off in the back outside somewhere.. I'll never go back to this place and I recommend anyone who reads this to go elsewhere! TERRIBLE!

Patio awesome order a Bells Two Hearted. Ale Or any of the other craft beers. Had a hamburger (the Texas Burger) Hand formed patty, cooked to perfection. Staff is friendly, food came out a bit slow but all the better to kick back relax listen to the excellent music track and enjoy the sunshine !

I loved the teriyaki wings. The barbecue flatbread was freaking AWESOME. It even tasted good the next day. The service was quick and friendly.

We went here twice over the weekend. Good food, good music and really friendly owners and staff. Despite the crowds associated with the Arts Festival, they did a great job making sure every customer was taken care of. When we come back to Mt Dora, this is where we're going.
